A GPX file is now available for travel to WC2008 via Ipswich on the Location Page together with more details on the special sailing of the Harwich cross-harbour ferry and guided cycle route from the ferry via Felixstowe.

HPV World Championship 2008 competitors will be racing for genuinely handsome prizes: hand-made pottery! Produced at MADE IN CLEY, a craft centre in Cley-next-the Sea, Norfolk, the range of pottery items are a departure from the usual plastic-and-tin trophy cups, and as well as being attractive, are useful for holding food, flowers, origami, or whatever.
 
 

Changes to Running OrderThursday, May 22, 2008
Please note the following changes to the running Order:-
 

Sat am - Flying 200m & 1k drags - On main runway, about 1.3 mile long
Sat pm - Three Hour Race - Course about 4 miles.
Sun am - One Hour Time-Trial - Fast flat course about 2 miles.
Sun pm - Criteriums - A short, 1.3-mile course.

New Streamliner for WC2008Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Simon Sanderson is building a new road racing streamliner. He reports that the turning circle is quite tight, at a radius of aprox 8m a bit better than his Ratracer that he rides everywhere. The new machine will be quite light, too, at somewhere between 11-12 kg. Should be one to watch!
